53. What are the consequences of prolonged drying time for steel pipes?

When solvent-coated steel pipes undergo drying in a drying furnace, prolonged exposure to either high or low temperatures can lead to two critical issues. Excessive drying at high temperatures causes solvent over-drying, resulting in charred and yellowed surfaces that compromise plating effectiveness and cause leakage. Conversely, prolonged drying at low temperatures prevents rapid evaporation of solvent moisture. When moisture accumulates at the pipe's end holes, it concentrates on the inner walls, diluting the solvent composition and creating ideal conditions for oxidation. This leads to leakage at the end holes and "sparking" phenomena during plating.
