The quality of zinc-aluminum alloy is very important. If the quality is not good, the surface of the galvanized layer will appear rough zinc particle defects after adding zinc liquid. Therefore, the grade of aluminum ingot and zinc ingot used to manufacture zinc-aluminum alloy should be high, generally using grade 0 and grade 1, and the iron content should not exceed 0.003%.
In the smelting plant, when casting zinc-aluminum alloy blocks, zinc and aluminum must be melted at 650-700°C and held at this temperature for 1.5-2 hours, with continuous stirring to ensure thorough mixing. Stirring should also be maintained during the casting process.
