Forming Angle

The forming angle refers to the acute angle formed by the intersection of the horizontal projection of the steel pipe centerline and the steel strip centerline, typically denoted as α. The forming angle is the most crucial parameter in the forming process of spiral seam double-sided submerged arc welded pipes. It not only indicates the angle of inclination between the steel pipe centerline and its corresponding steel strip centerline but also determines the position of the unit on the rolling line, which is vital for the reasonable matching of steel pipe diameter and steel strip width.
