The cooling process for hot-dip galvanized steel pipes consists of two parts: air cooling and water cooling. Here is a detailed description of each:
Air Cooling Process:
Air Cooling Time: 20 to 40 seconds;
Conveyor Speed on Cooling Bed: 0.126 to 0.254 meters per second;
In summer, use the higher value for air cooling time and the lower value for conveyor speed on the cooling bed. In winter, use the lower value for air cooling time and the higher value for conveyor speed. It is important to avoid scratching the galvanized layer surface on the cooling bed.
Water Cooling Process:
Cooling Water Temperature: 50 to 80°C;
Cooling Water pH: 6.5 to 8;
Cooling Water Chromaticity: <15 degrees;
Cooling Water Turbidity: <5 degrees;
Odor: No unusual odor allowed;
Cooling Time: 10 to 20 seconds;
The cooling water is replenished by feeding in at one end and discharging at the other. After each production cycle, the tank should be thoroughly cleaned to maintain cleanliness.
