Medium-Diameter Welded Pipe Production Units (8-26 inches)
Medium-diameter welded pipe units initially used the two-roll forming method, but after the introduction of the cage roll forming method in the 1970s, it became the dominant process. By the 1990s, with the exception of five 12-inch units built by Taiwan's Geng An Co. (still using two-roll forming) and two 8-inch units supplied by Japan to the US and Europe (using FF forming), nearly all other units adopted cage roll forming.
