The steel strip passes through the gap between the lower and upper rolls of the feeder. The hydraulic cylinders, acting on both ends of the upper roll, exert force to generate sufficient friction between the upper and lower rolls and the steel strip. The feeding rolls are powered by a motor and reducer. As the feeding rolls rotate, the steel strip is smoothly fed into the former.
