Quality Assurance Methods for High-Frequency Welded Steel Pipes

1. Raw Material Selection

Steel Strip Quality: Select high-quality steel with low impurity content and low levels of elements such as sulfur and phosphorus to ensure the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the high-frequency welded pipes.

Packaging and Transportation: Adopt appropriate packaging methods to avoid surface damage during storage and transportation.

Storage: Avoid open-air storage as much as possible.

2. Equipment Precision and Stability

Equipment Precision: Ensure that the high-frequency welded pipe production equipment has high precision to guarantee the dimensional accuracy and shape stability of the welded pipes.

Equipment Stability: Strengthen equipment maintenance to reduce failure rates and ensure the stability of the equipment during long-term operation.

Equipment Selection: Choose suitable equipment models and specifications based on production needs to ensure that the equipment can meet production requirements.

3. Welding Process

Welding Parameter Adjustment: Reasonably adjust parameters such as the frequency, power, current, and welding speed of the high-frequency welding machine based on factors such as the material, specifications, and wall thickness of the pipe to ensure weld quality.

Position of Induction Coil and Impedance Device: The induction coil should be placed on the same centerline as the steel pipe, maintaining an appropriate distance from the pipe surface; the impedance device should be placed in the V-shaped heating section, with a cross-sectional area no less than 70% of the inner diameter cross-sectional area of the steel pipe to ensure the formation of the electromagnetic induction circuit and the concentration of eddy current heat.

Weld Gap Control: Adjust the extrusion amount of the squeeze rollers to control the weld gap within 1-3mm, ensuring the welding quality of the weld.

Groove Shape: For thick-walled pipes, an appropriate groove shape (such as an "X" shape) should be used to improve the uniform heating and welding quality of the weld.

4. Forming Process

Ensure that the adjustment of equipment such as forming rollers, guide rollers, and squeeze rollers is accurate to achieve good shape and dimensional accuracy of the steel pipes.

5. Cold Bending Process

For high-frequency welded pipes that require cold bending, control the cold bending process parameters, such as the bending angle and bending radius, to ensure the bending resistance and service life of the pipes.

6. Personnel Quality

Job Skills: Strengthen the skill training of production personnel to enable them to master the process flow, equipment operation, and quality control points of high-frequency welded pipe production.

Quality Awareness: Cultivate the quality awareness of production personnel, making them aware of the importance of product quality and operate strictly in accordance with quality control standards.
