At present, there is still an unreasonable phenomenon in the structure of steel pipe products in our country. Taking the price of steel pipe as an example, whether it is seamless steel pipe or pipe, its import price is 2~4 times higher than that of export. This phenomenon shows that our country's steel pipe manufacturing industry in the low-end products are still excessive, the shortcomings are prominent, the proportion of high-end products exports is low, the competitiveness in the international high-end market is not strong, there is not enough product support, and the industrial structure still needs to be adjusted at depth.
Although the current price of steel pipe is relatively stable, and the profitability of steel pipe manufacturing enterprises is acceptable, the prospects of steel pipe manufacturing enterprises are still not optimistic. Integrate and optimize the layout, rational mergers and acquisitions, enhance industrial concentration, limit expansionary development, and concentrate energy and sources on investing in people in more certain and promising products, so as to make high-quality products, brands, and competitiveness, so as to face the market. In recent years, several well-known steel pipe manufacturing enterprises in China have adopted the idea of extending steel pipe manufacturing to expand or build steel pipe hot-dip galvanizing production lines, opening up a new way of steel pipe manufacturing.
