Slitting Processing Flow

The slitting processing flow mainly includes the following steps:

1. Loading

Transport the metal strip material (such as steel coil) to the starting position of the slitting production line.

Feed the strip material into the production line using a loading device (such as a loading trolley or coil transporter).

2. Uncoiling

Use an uncoiling device (such as an uncoiler) to unwind the metal strip material, ensuring it is flat and free of wrinkles for subsequent slitting operations.

During the uncoiling process, pressure rollers or holding devices may be used to secure the steel coil and prevent it from unraveling due to rotational inertia.

3. Slitting

The slitting machine is the core equipment in the production line, which longitudinally slits the metal strip material to preset dimensions using high-speed rotating blades. Precise control of the relative position between the blades and the strip material is necessary during the slitting process to ensure slitting accuracy.

Disc shears are commonly used slitting equipment in the slitting machine, with blades typically mounted on high-precision disc holders and equipped with high-quality imported components to ensure slitting quality.

4. Strip Division

According to customer requirements, the slit metal strip material is divided into narrower strips.

During the strip division process, parameters such as strip width and spacing must be ensured to meet the requirements.

5. Inspection and Sorting

Conduct quality inspections on the slit strip material, including checks on thickness, width, and surface quality.

Unqualified strip material needs to be repaired or rejected to ensure product quality.

6. Unloading and Packaging

Transport the qualified metal strip material to an unloading device (such as an unloading trolley) and package it.

Packaged strip material is convenient for subsequent storage and transportation.

7. Auxiliary Processes

Such as looper buffering, tension generation, and waste edge coiling.
