Solutions for Crack Defects

Due to the significant hazards posed by crack defects, more attention must be paid to the inspection of these defects. During the welding process, the first step is to select appropriate welding parameters to appropriately slow down the cooling rate during welding. At the same time, attention should be paid to the shape of the weld seam to ensure it meets the technical requirements of the welding process and is unfavorable for crack formation. In the welding process of spiral steel pipes, a multi-layer and multi-pass welding technique should be adopted, using a small welding current to mitigate or prevent the occurrence of crack defects. When designing the welding process, preventing crack defects should be a fundamental requirement clearly reflected in the design. Additionally, welding stresses should be minimized according to the welding conditions, which can effectively avoid the generation of welding cracks.
