Spiral-seam double-sided submerged arc welded pipes have relatively large diameters and wall thicknesses, and plasma cutting is currently the most commonly used method. To ensure the perpendicularity of the cut to the pipe body, a synchronous trolley is used to guide the plasma cutting machine. After the outer welding is completed, inspectors conduct an initial inspection of the entire pipe's weld seams and body, marking any defects that need repair before proceeding to the next process. The external inspection includes assessing the surface quality of the pipe, forming defects, welding defects, and deficiencies.
