What is Eddy Current Flaw Detection?

Principle: It utilizes an alternating magnetic field to generate eddy currents within metallic materials, and defects are detected by monitoring changes in these eddy currents.

Characteristics: It boasts fast detection speed and does not require coupling with the workpiece surface, making it suitable for online production. However, due to the skin effect, it can be challenging to detect defects located deep within the material.
