Why does the spiral steel pipe have horizontal cracks

At present, some defect problems will still be encountered during the production of welded pipes. One of the more common defects is crack. Moreover, the impact of this defect on the quality of the welded pipe is also very serious. Generally, it can be divided into horizontal cracks and longitudinal cracks according to the shape of the crack. Next, we will mainly introduce the horizontal cracks.

The horizontal cracks of the welded pipe often appear in the process of coagulation crystals of welded seams. This is because of the stress of the welding coagulation and contraction, so under the action of this tensile force, there will be some degrees of cracks.

There is also the metallurgical factors of spiral welding steel pipes. During the welding process, low melting point impurities enter, such as copper and copper alloy. The sources of copper are mainly plated on the surface of the welding wire to prevent copper from rusting wire. These copper crumbs enter the welded agent from the inner hole of the conductive mouth, and the welding melt tank is exposed to the welding tank during the welding process.
