After emerging from the molten zinc bath, steel pipes must undergo internal and external blasting and wiping treatment due to the following reasons:
(1) To remove zinc nodules, zinc ash, flux residue, and other floating materials adhered to the galvanized layer.
(2) To achieve a smooth and bright galvanized layer on both the internal and external surfaces of the steel pipes, thereby extending the service life of the pipes and reducing fluid transport resistance.
(3) To achieve a more uniform thickness of the pure zinc layer, conserving zinc consumption and lowering costs.
