Function of Edge Trimming

The steel strip is continuously trimmed by a circular shear to achieve a uniform width. The steel strips used for spiral welded pipes are typically round-edged materials, which may have large tolerances in the width direction, potentially leading to out-of-tolerance conditions. Therefore, the circular shear is utilized to control the material width, facilitating the forming accuracy of spiral seam double-sided submerged arc welded pipes.
