The steel strip passes between the lower and upper rolls of the feeder. The hydraulic cylinders act on both ends of the upper roll, generating sufficient friction between the rolls and the steel strip under the force of the cylinders. The feeding rolls are powered by a motor and reducer. As the feeding rolls rotate, the steel strip is smoothly fed into the former.
