Ultrasonic detection of spiral steel pipes

Pipe transportation, as an efficient, special transportation method, has played an increasingly important role in the fields of oil and gas transportation. At present, large -caliber transportation pipelines are mainly composed of spiral welding steel pipes. In order to ensure the reliable operation of the transportation pipeline, the quality of the spiral steel pipe used must be strictly guaranteed. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct non -destructive detection of welds before the steel pipe is out of the factory to eliminate hidden dangers.

A effective method for welding defect detection is to use pulse reflection ultrasound detection technology. Because it is mainly to determine whether there is a defect, the type A display (A scan) ultrasonic detector is used. It uses the reflection characteristics of ultrasonic. On the fluorescent screen, the vertical coordinates represent the range of reflection echo, and the horizontal coordinate represents the spread time of the reflection echo. Determine the size and location of the defect according to the amplitude and time of the defective reflection wave. It is the reflection wave on the surface of the workpiece, F is a defect wave, and B is the bottom reflection wave.

The automatic probe system consists of an ultrasonic detector. The entire system consists of an ultrasonic detector, transportation vehicles and weld tracking agencies. Ultrasonic detector is used for welding seam detection. Here, the tilt probes distributed along the circumference of the circular circularity are used to detect the defects in the weld, such as holes, cracks, residue, incomplete depth and unpolished platforms. Transport vehicles are used for mobile. For steel pipes, during the test, the steel pipe is placed on the transport vehicle and sent to the bottom of the welding tracking system. The car moves forward while rotating the steel pipe. These two movements are combined into the spiral movement of the steel pipe. Ideally, the feed and rotation of the steel pipe must be strictly synchronized. When the spiral angle of the steel pipe weld is unchanged, the welds are strictly within the detection range of the detection system. The weld tracking system is the carrier of the ultrasonic detector, which is used to track the center of the steel pipe weld. In order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the inspection, the ultrasonic probe system needs to be installed on the welding tracking system.

Instead, X -ray detection technology has more advantages than the above detection technology. X -ray equipment can not only detect the invisible welding joints of various welding pipes, but also intelligently analyze the test results, providing effective detection methods for achieving the goals of the "first qualification rate" and "zero defects".

Therefore, people often use X -ray equipment for testing. It uses X -ray to penetrate opaque materials to form a clear visible perspective to check the welding quality.

For products that cannot be checked by visual inspection, use X -ray equipment to penetrate different density materials to display the internal structure of the measured object so that the object can be observed without damaging the object. Test the problem area inside the object. At present, the inspection items using X -ray equipment mainly include: defect inspection in IC packaging, poor or bridge and puzzle, SMT solder joint inspection, checks that may occur in various connected cables, and the integrity of solder material.
