High-frequency welding utilizes solid resistance heat as its energy source. It heats the surface layer of the workpiece welding zone to a molten or near-plastic state through the resistance heat generated by high-frequency current flowing through the workpiece. Subsequently, an upset force (or no upset force) is applied to achieve the bonding of metals. It is a solid-phase resistance welding method widely used in the production lines of pipes and profiles.
